MONTHLY ISSUE Wrapping Up a Tough First Quarter With Green Shoots of Outperformance Hi Savio, If the first quarter were a weather event, we had it all – heat, cold, wind, rain, snow, sleet, hail. And even a bit of spring to wrap things up. A COVID-19 surge from the Omicron variant… inflation at 40-year highs… investors scared of how the Federal Reserve would respond… Russia's invasion of Ukraine. These storm clouds were on the horizon before the year started, so none was a complete surprise, but they came one after the other and sparked fear and uncertainty in the market. We have a deficit to make up for sure. But we are still only in the second inning of this game, and after the last couple of weeks, we now have some runners on base. In the new Power Portfolio 2022 issue, we will look back at a most unusual first quarter, update you on the portfolio's performance, and look ahead to what we expect will be better quarters ahead. We've seen hints of the kind of performance we expected when we constructed the portfolio late last year. We will also shed some light on the yield curve you may be hearing a lot about these days, and we have updates for you on all of our portfolio holdings, including four companies that reported strong earnings since our last issue. Click here to read the full issue now. When we invest in good stocks to begin with, the best strategy in a volatile market is to stay the course. We know the potential our stocks have. We've seen glimpses of it in an otherwise dismal first quarter. And we expect growth in sales, earnings, and industries to power our outperformance over the remaining three quarters of the year.
